For most rescue dogs, their former life is a mystery. Animal shelters, like Detroit Dog Rescue, often rescue dogs who are abused, abandoned, starving and afraid. So when they find things that seem to provide comfort, they do their best to offer those comforts that are within their resources. For Captain, a Pit Bull Mix rescued by Detroit Dog Rescue, it is a cardboard box.
Captain was found in the streets of Detroit. And while his life leading to his rescue is a mystery, one thing is for sure, he loves curling up in a cardboard box. In fact, it’s the only way he’ll sleep because it makes him feel safe. And feeling safe while getting a big dose of TLC, is the best way to recovery for any animal.
Just look at this adorable guy all curled up in his box. It’s no wonder that his photo is making its way around the internet. He’s a beautiful Pit Bull Mix who just wants to be loved and feel comfort and safety. I hope he finds a forever family soon so he can feel safe for good.
