Man On His D.eathbed Is Looking For Homes For His 11 Dogs So He Can Pass In Peace

A man from Texas is dying of cancer. But instead of thinking about himself, he’s working nonstop to find new homes for his 11 rescue dogs.

Richard Ewers, of Bexar County, Texas found out he was dying from cancer last year. Ewers  (called Mr. Richard by his friends) thought he had some time to rehome his 27 dogs that were dumped by their owners or found by Ewers as strays. But recently, Ewers’ doctor informed him that he had just a matter of days to live and now the kindhearted man is scrambling to find placement for the rest of the pups who remain with him.

Now in hospice care, he’s taking to social media with the help of friends to find the 11 dogs forever homes. Ewers has volunteers helping feed the dogs, walking them and playing with them.

Sadly, if the 11 that remain don’t find forever homes, the county will have to take them into custody.

Meet “Lucky” 

Lucky needs “ Luck” on his side right now, no pun intended ?

Lucky is an older dog, he is an amazing boy, he is the friendliest of them all, he keeps everyone in check, so when anyone gets rowdy, Lucky steps right in and settles everyone down, he gets the job done right the first time ?

Lucky Loves people, gets along with other dogs, very social, laid back, just a very well rounded boy.
If fishing and camping is your thing, well Lucky is the dog for you ??

Now I ain’t one for spreading rumors. I ain’t the gossiping kind but word is amongst the country folk out here is that Lucky is an amazing fisherman , why just the other day he caught 12 fish single handily ?, he will get your tackle box all packed up and camping gear ready the night before and is up before the roosters brush their beaks ? these mutts talk y’ all ?

Meet Lady

Lady is quite the Southern Bell ?, she is a bit cautious, so swift movements make her a bit on edge.
She does best when you are sitting down low and have your back facing her, she will come to you for treats once she feels comfortable. 

We think that she will feel at home with a family with 1-2 dogs that are social who will show her the ropes and help her out of her shell.

Imagine sitting on the porch enjoying a nice cool glass of lemonade on a hot Texas day with Lady by your side, it doesn’t get better than that y’ all ?

Skipper is about 6 yrs old

This handsome boy is going to require a family that has the patience, time and dedication to making him feel at ease around people, he is skittish, nervous, fearful, timid, so no sudden moves, he will approach you for treats once he feels comfortable. Skipper is feral/ semi-feral and there will be issues and need to be aware of the responsibility that comes with adopting these dogs.

Meet “Billie Sue”

This sweetheart is an old lady, she will need some work as she is shy, cautious and will retreat when approached.

Billie Sue loves nothing more than to lounge around on a warm sunny day , she loves watchin the squirrels run up and down the tree, birds stop by and chat with her every day and Tweet her the daily news ?, why there’s even a newspaper called “ The Daily Tweet ?“ and on many days you will find Billie Sue sittin on the porch reading the newspaper sipping on sweet ice tea and catching up the news.

Billie Sue loves the simple things in life like the smell of flowers, laying on the cool grass while you read her a book, sewing , I heard that she has quilted a blanket or 2 in her day ?, so if a slow paced kind of lifestyle is what you’re craving then Sweet Billie Sue is the girl for you ❤
