Dogs are just too cute! They’re often very playful and energetic that it can be hard to keep up at times. Besides enjoying the attention from people (due to their social nature) and munching on their favorite treats, dogs are also mad about playing fetch. Why do dogs like to play fetch?

According to science, it’s because fetching is part of a dog’s instinct. In the past, many dogs were specifically bred to retrieve certain items for their human owners, which means that many dogs will have this inbuilt disposition to chase after objects, pick it up in their mouth and bring it back to you. This has been ingrained in dogs for thousands of years, where they were trained to help hunt and retrieve food for the human family.

And this adorable Jack Russell Terrier is also not immune to playing fetch. However, unlike most dogs who need to play fetch with humans, this excited dog is smart enough to play on his own! How? Find out in the video.
